If you thought that Prime Day deal on the 70-inch Samsung TV was a good find (which is back again, BTW), you’re in for a real treat with Best Buy’s early Black Friday deals — specifically, the 65-inch Hisense TV that’s on sale for $249.99.
At any time other than Black Friday season, you’d be hard-pressed to find a decent 55-inch TV at the $250 or $300 price point. This hidden gem steals you an extra 10 inches (or an extra 50 inches, if you’ve been streaming on a laptop).
The reviews on this TV are few and far between, but the ones that are there are impressive. The most recent one is from a customer celebrating their one-year anniversary with the TV. They lined up at 5 a.m. to cop it for $299.99 on Black Friday last year (it’s $50 cheaper now) and have been amazed with its quality ever since. The Dolby Vision 4K upscaling and vibrant UHD color has really come through for this person’s streaming and gaming on the Nintendo Switch. Unmentioned in the review, Hisense’s DTS Virtual:X audio backs up the crisp visuals with immersive, spatial sound.
Google Assistant and Chromecast are built-in for quick access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more without flipping through the bank of apps. iPhone users can screen mirror after downloading the app.
The aforementioned review mentions that the TV’s response time leaves something to be desired (though this happens on a ton of pricier TVs, too), but that it wasn’t a deal-breaker. There’s a good chance that the 2020 model is speedier than the 2019 model.
